Quarab Horses

November 10, 2008

Regularly reading Australian Arabian Horse magazines, I kept coming across Quarab horses. While I guessed that it probably meant an Arab Horse with Quarter Horse blood, I figured I’d better investigate further.

Basically, the Quarter Horse x Arabian is called a Quarab. There is a breed registry for these horses in the USA, the International Quarab Horse Association.

Some useful links (with photos):

They look like beautiful horses, some more Quarter Horse type, others with the distinctive Arabian conformation often coupled with striking colour markings.
