302. Arabian Yearling Colt

November 19, 2008

2007, oil pastel on canvas. Re-edit November 2008.

This sketch is inspired by one of the pure Arabian yearlings that once stayed with us for a gloriously horsey 6 months back in 2000-2001. The colt, a straight Egyptian Arabian, was wonderfully mischievious and a beautiful chestnut colouring. He also liked to bite but thankfully, I managed to avoid being bitten.
