Rage Against the Machine – “The Ghost of Tom Joad”

Cool song. It made a lot more sense when I read The Grapes of Wrath for a high school English assignment. Really powerful book. I was a RATM addict for quite a few years there. They had a profound impact on my sense of social justice and my taste in music!

Sepultura – “Territory”

This is one of those metal classics that I played all the time as an 18 year old metal chick!! 😀 Good meaning behind the lyrics too, it’s an anti-racism song.

Flight of the Conchords – “Business Time”

This song is hilarious! We’ve always enjoyed Flight of the Conchords – they’re pretty popular in Australia. And, like most great New Zealanders, there’s a good chance Australia will decide that they are an Australian group and conveniently forget their NZ origin…
