horses and apologetics

July 25, 2008

I have just stumbled across a website that manages to combine two of my most favourite discussion topics – Christian apologetics and horses! So I just had to let others know about it.

It’s called “eQuest for Truth” and can be found at http://www.equest4truth.com/. I think the title is clever!

So, if you’ve ever wondered how horses can be incorporated into Christian ministry, they have some pretty good ideas at the eQuest website.

A-Moo

July 14, 2008

Saturday 26 April 2008 approximately 1pm

Yesterday – took a trip to the country. The cows were feeling agitated at us snapping photos of them. So, when one cow sneezed, the other leapt into the air in fright.

P.S. Is it a-choo or a-moo?

Knights In Urban Environments

July 12, 2008

Monday 22 April 2008 9.15 am

Yesterday, we went into the city to see an exhibition of mediaeval illuminated manuscripts. It was fun seeing all the people dressed up in costume – and the armoured knight whacking children with a foam sword.

Punk Music Fest

July 9, 2008

Friday 28 March 2008 11.20 am

I’ve somehow managed to score a ticket to a punk / indie music fest tomorrow. Unfortunately I’d long since thrown out my black punk wardrobe from 10 years ago. Hmm… I’m probably going to look right out of place.

– me, t-shirt and high pants

– a non-conformist looking at me like I’m a freak

Hmm, time to buy some clothes?

273. Inspired by Isaiah 44

July 8, 2008

Pencil on tinted paper, June 2008.

Isaiah 44:3-4 (Today’s New International Version)

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.

Dust Mite Protection

July 8, 2008

AllergEnd Plus bedding covers have been of great benefit to us. We use their Plus range because it is cotton. As some members of our household have been diagnosed by an allergy specialist doctor as having polyester allergy, we generally opt for 100% cotton bed linen.
